When the warm air starts to feel a little crisper, there is nothing better than throwing on a great pair of boots. I put together some outfits I could live in during these fall months. These casual dresses and tall boots are the perfect combo for transitioning your wardrobe. Throw a pair of tights with these looks or a light jacket too. I can't get enough of rich burgundies, fall hunter greens, heathered grays, and all types of denim and cognac leathers.
Can you iron pleather? I'm not sure. Anyway, I've been wearing these shoes pretty constantly since I bought them. There are so many different slip on shoes out there right now, and these seemed like the perfect pair for me. I liked that they have the comfort of sneakers, but the quilted leather really helps dress them up.

The older I get, the more I care about function with my clothes. Living in Wisconsin has me on a constant search for boots, and fashion meets practicality is my ideal. I found these Tretorn Rain boots on Amazon, and I'm pretty excited about the find. They are comfortable and don't fold into your shin like some rain boots. Do you have any favorite brands for winter shoes?
I can never turn down a great new bag, especially a leather one. I feel that everyone should invest and carry at least one bag that can be a strong staple in their wardrobe. Although I love playing with bright colors, I prefer them in different parts of an outfit instead of a purse. Personally, I always tend to stray in the direction of classic colors such as black and cognac. These splurge and steal worthy bag options are some of my favorite silhouettes this fall. The backpack is back in action this season, and it is a wildly comfortable idea at that! I also can't get enough of the classic tote and the variety of finishes. From perforated to embossed leathers, this is a great piece to add to your collection.
I did a photo shoot a while back with some of my purses and favorite shoes to pair with them. I don't think you need to always match shoes to bags, but it can really pull a look together.
Whoa, hey there! Sorry about my little absence this last week. August was a pretty wild month, and after moving in and not spending one weekend at home... I'm ready for a break. It should start to slow down here shortly, and fall is just around the corner! Although I complain a lot about the winters here, there is nothing better than fall in the Midwest. The leaves... the sweaters... the trips to the apple orchards (see embarrassing buzzfeed here). While this weather is upon us, I want to try and ease into a new wardrobe. A good way to start layering in warmer pieces is with sweaters, especially open ones like this maxi from Urban Outfitters. I love the weight of this sweater along with the length. I'm going to try and keep wearing open toe shoes for as long as I can!
