Welp, here ya have it folks. These are my best friends... my inspiration and my stability through life. We all graduated from college together: Marissa, Lauren, and Kori with Apparel Design& Development majors and Jamie with an Interior Design major. Not only are they just plain awesome, they truly are my inspiration for fashion every day. Each of them has their own unique style and has grown differently over the years of our friendship. Marissa is artistic and a little edgy, willing to try new things, and layers jewels and patterns like a champ. Kori wears neutrals and creams, spices it up with girly accessories, and loves a classic meets eclectic blend. Jamie is fun and carefree, and wears anything from pure comfort to straight sexy. Lauren loves the little details and fit, black classic pieces, and studs or bold earrings. We all have an appreciation for fashion and style, but mostly just like to have fun.
Don't they inspire you too?!

Lands' End Canvas Shirt, Sweater, and Shoes // Levi's Jeans // Thrifted Collar Clip // Forever 21 Hat // Ray Ban Sunglasses
You can't go wrong with gingham. This print always makes me feel put together, and a bit preppy. As much as I'm all about mixing prints, I feel that gingham is best on it's own. I got this collar clip at an antique store this last weekend in Duluth. It's cool, I'm a 95 year old woman. I love it though- a perfect way to add a little extra flare without committing to a full necklace. What do you think?!
Also, Ben picked up a new lens for our camera. The 85mm f1.4 should be an awesome addition to get great portrait shots and sharp depth of field. Pretty excited!

W118 Walter Baker Jacket // Old Navy Jeans // H&M Boots (similar) // Michael Kors Watch // Etsy Bracelet // Sample Sale Sweater // Steve Madden Purse // Max & Chloe Monogram Necklace
Alright, it's officially cold out. I tend to revert back to my childhood when I thought it was cool to not wear a jacket for as long into the season as possible.. "I'm not cold, whatever". WHY. Why do I do this? Especially because, let's be real folks, this is the best time of year to dress. Layers, pretty scarves, cool jackets, light sweaters. This is what I wish I wore all through the winter. Anyway... today I am thankful to pull this bad boy out of my closet- leather sleeves and the perfect trench, can't go wrong.
Steve Madden Boots // Faux Leather Skirt // Forever 21 Shirt // Steve Madden Purse // Urban Outfitters Jacket (old)
This jacket is one of my favorite pieces. I've had it for a couple years now, but I always reach for it to add some interest to an outfit. I can't get enough of the texture! I mixed it here with another favorite find- faux leather skirt from Marshall's! How great it's been to have such awesome weather and still be wearing skirts.

Being a Minnesota born native, I've learned that fall and winter can get
COLD. I'm pretty sure people think it snows year round in the Midwest,
which is false. It has been in the 70's this week... oh happy October!
Since the weather has been so pleasant lately, I haven't really busted
out my fall coats and scarves. I found myself accidentally (okay, maybe
not an accident) at Marshall's this weekend. SO many awesome coats on
sale and it got me in the mood! How does one choose?!
I'm loving this nude and grey hooded coat from Zara- beautiful neutrals will match everything you own as you transition into cooler weather. And, sure... I'll take one Burberry Trench this season too (a girl can dream!).
Mixing a rugged quilted leather with warm materials is one of my favorite looks. Leather is everywhere this season, why not in your coats and jackets as well? This trendy parka jacket from Zara is another favorite.
Don't be afraid to use color in your dreary winter wardrobe! This electric blue J.Crew Factory coat is the perfect hue to brighten up your look. I am definitely an offender of wearing only blacks and greys in the cooler months, but this jacket might be just the piece I need.
What are some of the ways you are looking to bundle up when colder weather hits?

H&M Blazer // Urban Outfitters Shirt // Thrifted Necklace // Ray Ban Sunglasses
How obnoxiously awesome is this necklace? I'll be honest, it's pretty impractical. But when you find a treat like this at an estate sale for $0.50.. how can you say no?! I wore this outfit to work and threw on this necklace to add some flare for a dinner date. I haven't been thrifting this season as much as I usually do, and that's got to change. So many stories and gems to be uncovered.
Aldo shoes (old) // Lands' End Canvas Leggings // Urban Outfitters Cape // Michael Kors Purse // Kate Spade Watch
What a perfect fall day. Ben and I spent Saturday wandering through a small town nearby for their "Fall Fest". Couldn't
pass up this beautiful wall of leaves and color. I wrapped up in this
cozy blanket-like cape and threw on some easy leggings. I just can't get enough of all the colors that come along with fall weather. Cranberries, oranges, greens& greys are so inspirational for a color palette for your wardrobe as well. On the way home, we stopped at a nearby apple orchard for some apple picking and (of course) apple donuts!
What are some of your favorite fall activities?
What a great week... I was looking back at some of my favorite things from the week and wanted to share!
- A great friend sent me flowers at work. How awesome is that? Friends rule.
- I'm getting pretty excited for my iPhone to get here in the mail, and this iPhone case from Splendid is just the thing to decorate my new phone!
- Pen & Paint makes these adorable prints you can put anywhere! I put one of my fridge and one at work, great reminders throughout the day.
- Louisa Marion Photography creates these cool magnets of some snippets of her beautiful pictures. The perfect thing to spruce up your fridge.
- I have had this book for awhile, but opening it back up and getting inspired was just the thing I needed this week.
- Voluspa Candle: one of my favorite scents for fall. It's strong, but makassar ebony & peach? YUM.
What were your favorite things this week?
I had a great weekend celebrating fall with some fellow Midwest Bloggers at a lovely party hosted by Laura and Dani.
Between the mojito, s'more, and spiked hot cocoa bar.. it's safe to say
these two throw a great party. One of our lucky perks of the evening
was some swag bags, including this Bare Minerals Moxie Lipstick!
I love this shade (Lead the Way) for Fall. It's the perfect plum and it
applies smoothly and richly. Thanks again to Bare Minerals, Meg Biram for the tee, and all of our amazing sponsors! Make sure to check out #fallfestwi on Instagram to see much more!

BCBG Shirt // Express Pants // Old Navy sandals // BCBG Necklace
I love wearing all black some days, it's always a classic and fool-proof look. I've had all these pieces in this outfit for a long time, all from some of my favorite clearance racks! I love digging through the sale racks at Macy's looking for Rachel Roy and BCBG gems. This shirt was one of those finds... I like how simple it is, but still has just the right amount of design details with the sleeves. I found the necklace at the BCBG outlet in California when visiting my sister, she convinced me I needed it! Didn't feel like really adding that pop of color today, but like I said- can't go wrong with black.
