Forever 21 peplum // BDG jeans // Target clutch & flats // Anthropologie necklace // World Market bracelet // Ray Ban sunglasses
Summer seems to be drifting away, so I'm trying to enjoy every fleeting moment I can outside! Ben and I went to Craftsman Table & Tap so we could sit outside on the rooftop patio (oh, and enjoy some of our favorite cheese curds in Madison!). In the idea of keeping summer around, I wore my highlighter bright peplum. I like pairing peplums with something more fitted on the bottom, to balance out the flared shape on top. I love adding print whenever I can, so I added this clutch from Target (another $5 find! Score!).
How great is this Black and White tank from MAI? This design offers comfort while the stylish details make you actually want to get off your butt and go work out! I love the open cut out back and the mix of materials with baby doll bottom. I truly feel like I can go from yoga class to grab lunch with friends, and still feel stylish and cute.
The best part about MAI isn't just their versatile yoga clothes, but they are local designers and manufacturers. Born and bred in Minneapolis, MN... Emma and Sarah followed their passion for design and created a company for yoga-doing, life-loving, strong women! Support local & do yourself a favor and check them out.

Oh man.
J.Crew's Fall/ Holiday look book. Alright, I'll admit.. I'm pretty jazzed for fall.
Seeing these cozy layers of print and pattern? How can't you be?!
As I'm prepping to pack up that summer wardrobe, I'm thinking about what is most inspiring for Fall.
Some of my favorites:
Laser cuts from Valentino //
Vibrant fall patterns from Alice+Olivia //
Subtle details from Rachel Roy //
Texture play from Burberry
BOOTS. Living in the midwest makes it pretty necessary to have every size and shape of boots to keep your feet dry and warm...so I'll use that as my excuse for why I have so many! One trend I am seeing everywhere with boots right now is straps& buckles wrapped around the ankles of booties. I picked out some I am craving:
There is my completely random smattering of thoughts for the day.
Happy Thursday, friends!
Prabul Gurung for Target shoes // Anthropologie skirt // Top Shop shirt // Urban Outfitters Sunglasses
TJMaxx top // Urban Renewal shorts // Lands' End Canvas Bag // Urban Outfitters glasses // Kate Spade watch
MONOGRAMS!! Let's talk about 'em. I feel like lately you can monogram anything and everything, and you should. Lands' End offers this option with a wide variety of their products, but probably most well known for their canvas totes. Not only are they great for yourself, but giving a monogrammed gift just adds the perfect touch of personalization to make it special!
Alright, I might be a little over excited (okay.. a lot) for our trip to Thailand in October. But can you blame me? These are all great pieces for some summer traveling.
NEED:
Comfortable (yet still stylish) shoes // a watch so you stay on schedule // great bag to carry all your necessities // sunglasses // sunscreen to protect your skin // easy to wear clothes you can mix and match
This past weekend we spent in Ben's hometown for yet another summer birthday celebration! Just got a new camera and thought this weekend would be the perfect time to test it out as we wandered to the town carnival. Chose to wear something casual and comfortable for the evening out- seems you can pair chambray and denim with anything.
(Also, was it just my naive eyes blinded by cotton candy and over sized stuffed animal prizes, or did carnis get creepier? Just curious.)
Urban Outfitters moccasins // H&M chambray // Shorts (old) // Etsy bracelet // H&M rings
BDG pants // American Apparel tee // Tommy Hilfiger shoes // Kate Spade watch // H&M rings // Forever 21 necklace
These are my go-to pants and my go-to tee.. neither seem to fail me. I have these BDG high waisted jeans in black, print, and I probably need jeans too. I remember the days when wearing your pants so low your underwear practically pops out was cool. Well, those days are gone. Mom butt.. holla at me. But seriously, high waisted pants are comfortable and dare I say a little sexy? Give 'em a try!
Happy almost the weekend! What are your weekend plans?
Xo
What a yummy summer weekend! Spent this last weekend celebrating Ben's little sisters 21st Birthday! Enjoyed trying new eats and treats &wandering lovely Milwaukee. I don't know that much about the city, but I really do love it! The third ward area and industrial old buildings are pretty beautiful and filled with character. We got a great view when we rented a boat to cruise down the river too! I'll be back soon, Milwaukee- you're pretty great.
Check out these sweet sunnies! I stumbled upon this amazing website carrying all handcrafted sunglasses, and I dig it. They are all made by hand out of different wood in Louisville, Kentucky! I'm a fan of supporting some made in USA goodies, and these are just the items to buy. They also support local animal shelters with proceeds from some of their frames, another reason to show some love.

Birthday week! Wednesday was my lady Lauren's birthday! We celebrated enjoying dinner, drinks, and good friends at 43 North. I wore this color block shirt from the sale section at Ann Taylor loft. Actually, my theme today is good deals because I picked up this clutch at Target this week for $5. Boom. Hope you all are having an amazing last week of July!
