A bright pop of color is just what I needed on this chilly day. I found this hot pink skirt at a thrift store when looking for ugly Christmas Sweaters! So jazzed. I love these earmuffs too, received them as a gift last year and I can't get enough. They are the perfect statement piece that also keeps you warm (oh, and doesn't mess up your hair- girl moment OOP). This skirt. The structure is PERFECT. Anthropolgie pretty much nailed this one as far as I'm concerned. I decided to do a little day to night look with this, I've been dreaming up all sorts of outfits to pair this skirt with lately. I wore the turtleneck and skirt to work this week and got so many compliments. I was also thinking it could create the perfect pairing for a new year's look! I always feel a little cautious when it comes to crop tops, but this skirt is high enough I feel comfortable. A staple skirt like this is a must have, you can bring so many looks from your work day to the evening. All I changed from these two outfits was the top and the shoes. How easy! Give it a try.

Merry Christmas, everyone! Taking a couple days to relax!

Seconds after taking these quick snapshots, my glasses started fogging up. I know, cool kid status. But, in all honesty, a trend that I used to find dorky and embarrassing in all my fourth grade glory.. has now become one of my favorite accessories. Glasses! Warby Parker puts ease and straight cool-ness back into shopping for these four eyed wonders. Oh, and these moccasins? How can you go wrong with these? Heading back to my Minnetonka roots today, figured these were only necessary.

I cannot get enough of these cozy fair isle's right now! It's just the thing to add to every outfit this Holiday season to make it the perfect amount of cozy and stylish. I feel like you can pair these sweaters with jeans for a weekend inside, or a sequined skirt for that perfect festive outfit. And how can I turn down anything that looks remotely Scandinavian?!  How do you wear your sweaters- dressed up or down?

Isn't it weird when the things you used to play dress up in, you now want to wear for real? That's how I feel about this coat. I've also worn it twice (once in Middle School and once in College) for the finishing touch on my Cruella De Vil costume. I did a little print mixing here with this buffalo plaid shirt I found thrifting a while back. This mix of patterns and textures makes me feel very festive this time of year.. a little bit fancy, a little bit cozy.

I catch myself always looking for the perfect occasion to wear this coat. I got it as a gift from an estate sale from my friend, Lauren. It makes me feel so fancy and glamorous! It was the perfect piece to bust out for our first snowy week here this season. I think I'll have to start wearing it more for no good reason, don't you?

It SNOWED! This is about the only time I like the snow.. the very beginning and it's still all white and sparkly. Soon I will probably get crabby... but for now, I'm enjoying the light dusting of white. This outfit is perfect for bummin' around on a cold weekend. These rainboots keep my feet nice and dry, and adding some cozy socks helps too. I've been wearing this hat a lot lately as well- it's about as far as I went for Black Friday shopping... and it was a sale that lasted all week anyway! So, here's a little throw back Thursday for you guys on this snowy day! I wore these shorts multiple days, so bright and comfortable in the hot weather. Easy to pair with anything basic. The pop of color blended in well with the bright Thai culture. From the street treasures to the food, everything is packed with color and vibrancy. One of my favorite parts of our trip was going to the local markets and picking out foods for a cooking class we took in Chiang Mai. Are you impressed with these chicken skewers we made?!

I guess I should have been spending the day after Thanksgiving shopping Black Friday, right? False. I was eating. One of my favorite things about the Holidays is spending time with people I love and eating delicious foods- and I wore this look doing just that! I like that this skirt has a higher waist and flares out. It makes it comfortable to move around while still looking like you put in a little effort with your outfit. What did you do over the long Holiday weekend?!

I love a good vintage find, but even more when it comes from family. This cape was my grandmothers, and I can't get enough of it! It came with an amazing matching pencil skirt that I can barely fit my booty into, but it's a great set. I feel so lucky to have this timeless piece... my Grandmother had great taste. Do you have any great vintage finds? I feel like the workmanship can be so amazing in some older garments. Pretty sure a lot of my clothes won't stand the test of time, but I do hope that some day I can pass some gems to future generations!

Sweaters, sweaters, sweaters! I might need to take it back a hot minute. I am jumping head first into cold weather and am potentially over-bundling myself up. I just know that after a couple months of this I will be aching to get back into dresses without tights, but for now... I'm enjoying it! I snagged this sweater up at TJMaxx.. loving the fuzzy texture and it couldn't be softer. These boots were a late season find last year at Target and I wear them a lot more than I expected. They are a good balance of comfort and functionality, but still make me feel like I put on something decent. Found this tunnel while I was out running errands this weekend. Has anyone else started Christmas shopping?! I'm so proud.

After all this talk about looking for a new coat, of course I was sold by a sale! H&M had half off outerwear last weekend and I nabbed this gem for $50. I love the look of the texture and the cozy wool blend of the fabric. Grey is one of my favorite colors (exciting, I know) because it goes with everything. It allows you to add pops of color to brighten up in this dreary weather. Also, whoa... going to have to start taking some more pictures inside so you don't get sick of me bundled from head to toe in every post. Winter is upon us, folks!
